BROOKLYN
*** A man was shot yesterday during a dispute in Flatbush, police said.
The 22-year-old victim became embroiled in an argument with another man at 12:50 a.m. in front of 3605 Church Ave., police said.
The disagreement ended abruptly when the man was shot in the chest and face.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
*** Cops were yesterday looking for two bandits who robbed an employee at a Chinese restaurant in Flatbush.
The bandits, armed with a gun, entered the Kheng Heng Restaurant at 424 Utica Ave. shortly after 8 p.m. Friday and demanded money from a 22-year- old female employee.
They got away with about $70, said police.
*** Police yesterday identified the two Brooklyn men arrested after allegedly getting into a wild shootout with cops Friday night in Flatbush.
Barrington Diles, 26, and Donell Morton, 20, were both arrested after trading shots with two Anti Crime cops and their sergeant at East 19th Street and Cortelyou Road during a 9:15 p.m. confrontation.
The two men – armed with a .45 caliber and a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol – fired eight times at the cops, who returned fire six times.
None of the cops was hit, but Diles was wounded in the stomach.
The officers – all dressed in civilian clothes but wearing their badges around their necks – came upon the two men after they had fired at a 29-year-old man with whom they were feuding, wounding him in the leg and hitting a 16-year-old girl, who was with him.
The wounded victims and Diles were all treated at Kings County Hospital where they were in stable condition.
Both suspects, who live on Ocean Avenue, were charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, assault, reckless endangerment and menacing.
QUEENS
*** A man was shot and wounded in Springfield Gardens yesterday by a mugger who wanted to steal his earrings, law-enforcement sources said.
The incident occurred at Merrick Boulevard and Selover Road at 12:20 a.m. when a 20-year-old man walking to his car was approached by another man who demanded his earrings, sources said.
The thug then shot the man, hitting him in the right leg. He was taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital in stable condition.
MANHATTAN
*** A man was found dead in the East River early yesterday.
Milton Maxson, 34, was reported in the water off South Street near Market Slip shortly after 6 a.m., said cops. Divers pulled him from the water about 200 feet north of the Manhattan Bridge about 2½ hours later.
*** A 31-year-old man was shot and wounded early yesterday after getting into a fight in an Inwood club, police sources said.
The victim was inside La Mira at 179 Dyckman St. when fisticuffs broke out between him and another patron, prompting the victim to leave the premises.
About a half-hour later, at 3:45 a.m., the victim encountered the man with whom he fought on the street, who shot him in the right foot.
*** A 25-year-old man who got into a dispute outside a Manhattan club was stabbed and wounded yesterday, police said.
The victim was standing outside CEO, at 552 West 38th St., when he got into a fight with another man, about 23.
Suddenly, the suspect stabbed the victim twice, once in the right shoulder and another time in the lower back.
The wounded man was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. His assailant was being sought.
THE BRONX
*** Police were investigating the hit-and-run death of a bicyclist yesterday in Mott Haven.
Gerson Vasquez, 21, was struck by a white minivan as he rode with traffic at the intersection of East 149th Street and Prospect Avenue around 11:36 a.m., police said.
The impact flipped Vasquez into the path of a truck behind him, killing him. The truck driver remained at the scene and was not charged with any criminal offense.
The driver of the white minivan fled, and is being sought.
