QUEENS

* A man was shot dead in an apparent robbery on a Corona street, police said yesterday.

Police responded to the Horace Harding Expressway near 99th Street at the massive Lefrak City complex after receiving a 4:27 a.m. call of a man shot. Once there, they found a 25- to 30-year-old man with gunshots to his head, neck and torso.

The victim was taken to New York Hospital of Queens, where he died at 7:10 a.m. Witnesses said they saw six to eight men running from the scene.

Police were trying to determine the victim’s identity. His wallet and identification were missing.

* Detectives are probing an incident of anti-Semitic vandalism in Forest Hills – one of three similar, but apparently unrelated, bias crimes that took place in a 14-hour span in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn, police said yesterday.

The first incident was discovered at 8 a.m. Saturday, when a porter came across anti-Semitic writing and symbols drawn in blue marker inside the lobby and compactor room of 97-57 Queens Blvd.

A second incident in Manhattan occurred at 5:20 p.m., when a tenant living at 226 E. 14th St. in the East Village found anti-Jewish scrawls written in brown lipstick on a rear stairwell.

Police said a third incident, in Brooklyn, occurred at 10 p.m. in Crown Heights, when police responded to a report that the name “Hitler” was written on homes at 985 and 989 Lincoln Place.

MANHATTAN

* The body of an unidentified woman was found floating in the Hudson River off Greenwich Village, police sources said yesterday.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

BROOKLYN

* A 50-year-old cyclist was critically injured yesterday when a car plowed into him on a Bushwick street, police said.

The victim was struck at about 6 p.m. at Central Avenue and Bleecker Street, police said.

The man – whose name was withheld pending family notification – was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was fighting for his life.

The driver stopped, and no charges were filed. (s, lcf)

* A 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday for accidentally shooting his pregnant girlfriend in his East Flatbush apartment, police said.

The suspect, Chance Kemar, was handling a Mac 10 in the bathroom at his Nostrand Avenue apartment at about 11:30 a.m. when the gun went off, cops said.

The bullet grazed the 21-year-old woman, who is four months pregnant, in the right leg. She was released after treatment at Brookdale Hospital.

THE BRONX

* Two teenage sisters suffered minor injuries yesterday when they were bitten by a pit bull on a Kingsbridge street, police said.

The victims, ages 12 and 15, were at West 238th Street and Greystone Avenue at about 4:30 p.m., when the dog bit them on their legs, cops said.

The girls were taken to Montefiore Hospital in stable condition.

Emergency Service Unit cops were called to the scene and shot the pit bull with a tranquilizer dart. The dog was taken Animal Care and Control. (s, lcf)

* A 32-year-old man was hospitalized early yesterday after he was shot on a Melrose street, police sources said.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was walking on East 162nd Street near Morris Avenue at about 2 a.m. after he had left a party to get some beer, cops said.

He heard gunfire and was grazed in the chest, but did not realize it until he went back to the party and felt a sting.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

* The body of an unidentified woman was found in a Hunts Point apartment building, police said yesterday.

The gruesome discovery was made at 11 p.m. Saturday in the building at Manida Street near Randall Avenue.

Police believe the woman died of a drug overdose, but were awaiting the final results of an autopsy.
