MANHATTAN
*** A 26-year-old man was found shot dead inside his Harlem apartment last night, cops said.
The man’s girlfriend walked into his West 130th Street apartment at 7:50 p.m. to find the victim, whose name was withheld, bloody and near death.
He was shot once in the chest and once the arm. It was not clear who fired the bullets or what sparked the gunplay.
The victim was rushed to Harlem Hospital and died soon afterward.
QUEENS
*** Two men were shot – one critically – during an attempted robbery in Rego Park, police said yesterday.
The victims, ages 21 and 45, were attacked by the assailant behind a building at 63-60 102nd St. at 11 p.m. Wednesday.
It was not immediately clear if the victims resisted or if the suspect stole anything.
The 21-year-old victim, who suffered a stomach wound, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.
The other victim, who was shot in the arm, was rushed to New York Hospital of Queens in stable condition. The suspect fled.
BROOKLYN
*** A 15-year-old boy was arrested for slashing a schoolmate in the face with a razor on a Bay Ridge street, authorities said yesterday.
The suspect, whose name was not released due to his age, attacked the 16-year-old male victim at 86th Street and Colonial Avenue at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, as the victim tried to intercede in a fight between two girls, police sources said.
The assailant pulled a razor blade and sliced the boy’s left cheek before fleeing.
Police spotted the suspect nearby and arrested him on an assault charge.
The victim, who attends Fort Hamilton HS with the suspect, received 20 stitches to close his wound, sources said.
*** A Coney Island resident was arrested for choking and robbing a woman after dragging her to a remote area, authorities said yesterday. Aldolfo Romaro, 26, put the 43-year-old woman into a headlock and dragged her to a deserted area near Neptune and Stillwell avenues early Wednesday morning, police sources said.
Romaro then allegedly jumped atop her, choked her and stole $20.
As the victim screamed, Romaro allegedly grabbed her head with both hands and twisted it.
Someone heard the screams and called 911.
Police arrived and arrested Romaro on robbery and assault charges.
The victim was treated for minor injuries at Coney Island Hospital.
*** A Canarsie teen has been arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl in a vacant home last month, authorities said yesterday.
The incident occurred at 2 p.m. on Nov. 16, when the victim accompanied her cousin to the Schenck Street house in Canarsie to visit her cousin’s boyfriend.
Sources said the boyfriend and the suspect, Erik Trotman, 19, were cleaning out the house, which was under renovation.
When the cousin and her boyfriend went upstairs, Trotman allegedly began tickling the victim, who demanded that he stop.
But Trotman threw her down on a couch, got on top of her and raped her as she struggled to get away, sources said.
Two days later, the victim reported the incident to a counselor at Ditmas HS.
The counselor notified police, who arrested Trotman Wednesday on charges of rape and endangering the welfare of a minor.
*** A 23-year-old man was shot dead by a thug on a Kensington street, cops said yesterday.
Adolfo Perez was arguing with the assailant over a girl at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on East 9th Street near Avenue C, cops said.
Suddenly the suspect pulled a gun and shot Perez in the neck and back before fleeing.
Perez was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he died.
*** Three gunmen shot a worker in a Bedford-Stuyvesant store before fleeing with cash, police sources said yesterday.
The assailants, brandishing handguns, stormed into the variety store on Malcolm X Boulevard near Putnam Avenue about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
One of the assailants went into a back room and shot the 50-year-old worker in his shoulder, sources said.
The gunmen then took cash from the victim and a store register before fleeing, the sources said.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
STATEN ISLAND
*** A man has been arrested for using a fraudulent credit card to purchase more than $300 in merchandise at a New Springville store, court records show.
Between Aug. 6 and Sept. 11, Ralph Montana, 40, allegedly stole mail delivered to a man’s home on Powell Street in Woodrow.
Sources said the mail included a pre-approved credit-card application in the man’s name, which Montana submitted using the man’s name.
Montana used the fraudulent card to buy $380 in merchandise from a Circuit City store on Richmond Avenue in New Springville.
He was arrested Tuesday and charged with forgery, identity theft and criminal impersonation.
THE BRONX
*** A 29-year-old man was clinging to life after being riddled with bullets on a Williamsbridge street last night, officials said.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was standing in front of a Barnes Avenue building near East 219th Street when an unknown gunman walked up and opened fire just after 10:30 p.m., police said.
It was unclear what sparked the barrage.
The victim was hit in the back, chest, hand and knee.
A 30-year-old man was also shot during the gunplay.
The younger victim was rushed to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition, while the other man was stable at the same hospital.
*** The body of a woman was discovered in her Riverdale apartment, police said yesterday.
Sibyl Cohen, 45, was found dead at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday either by police or her mother in the apartment at 6229 Broadway, cops said.
The mother had phoned police after not being able to contact her daughter for several days.
Police believe Cohen died of natural causes, but were awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
