*** A parolee with a long criminal history was busted for breaking into a car in Harlem and leading cops on a foot chase through Marcus Garvey Park, police sources said yesterday.

Sean Williams, 38, allegedly used a screwdriver to smash the rear driver-side window of a 1992 Chevy parked at the corner of West 118th Street and Lenox Avenue at 2:20 a.m. Thursday.

Once inside the vehicle, the thief devoted so much attention to prying the $150 stereo out of the dashboard, he didn’t notice the car’s owner walking up with her boyfriend – who had already called 911 and were trying to block him from leaving.

Williams kicked out one of the doors and took off with his booty, but only made it a few blocks before cops spotted him, police sources said.

When he realized the police were on to him, Williams took off into Marcus Garvey Park, where one of the officers tackled him and found the screwdriver and the radio.

Williams, who is on parole for a 2001 assault and larceny conviction, has 20 prior arrests under his belt for offenses like robbery, larceny and assault.
