*** Four men were busted yesterday for gunning down a Bronx man during a drug transaction in Washington Heights last week, police said.
Luis Eugenio, 28, allegedly shot 26-year-old Fausto Lachapel with a semi-automatic handgun while buying narcotics from him behind 38 Fort Washington Ave. at 1:40 a.m., cops said.
Eugenio and three others, Edwin Rosario, 26, Lucas Soriano, 23, and Juan Perez, also 23, fled the scene after the shooting and left Lachapel for dead.
Rosario and Soriano are charged with robbery and weapons possession, Perez is charged with grand larceny and Eugenio is facing a murder and weapons rap.
STATEN ISLAND
*** A man was arrested for beating, choking and attacking his girlfriend with a dish in their Tompkinsville home, authorities said yesterday.
Police sources said Johnny Harris, 52, accosted the woman in their residence on Corson Avenue and Fremont Street about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, when he grabbed a dish and tossed it at his victim, hitting her in the face.
Harris then allegedly socked the victim in the face several times and strangled her for reasons that were not immediately clear. The victim, whose name and age were not immediately available, suffered swelling and cuts to her face and ear.
Harris was arrested the same day and charged with assault, harassment and weapons possession.
*** A 23-year-old man was busted for criminal mischief after he knocked a light fixture off a wall inside an Arlington home, authorities said yesterday.
Carlos Ramos allegedly broke the light inside a woman’s home at 447 Netherland Ave. around 2 p.m. on Jan. 4, law-enforcement sources said.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately clear.
*** An Arrochar shop employee was arrested for selling alcohol to a minor, authorities said yesterday.
Clifford Wagner, 24, allegedly sold a Smirnoff wine cooler to a 19-year-old at Double R Marketplace at 281 McClean Ave. around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, law-enforcement sources said.
Wagner is facing a charge of selling alcohol to a minor, authorities said.
THE BRONX
*** A man was found shot to death yesterday in the Claremont building where his family lives, cops said.
Howard Gary, 38, had been shot in the head when he was discovered unconscious about 2:15 a.m. in the third-floor stairwell at the building on Washington Avenue near St. Pauls Place.
Gary, who lives nearby, was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died.
Police, who were searching for a motive, said Gary had prior arrests for charges including assault and criminal possession of stolen property, and did more than a year in state prison for selling drugs.
*** Cops yesterday arrested a man on charges of gunning down a Fordham man last month.
David Cuellar, 21, was wanted in connection with the shooting death of 27-year-old Jaci Agosto in front of 2435 Creston Ave. at 3:25 p.m. on Jan. 15, police said.
Agosto, of Manhattan, was shot several times in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cuellar was arrested around 1:10 a.m. behind 249 E. 199th St. in the Bedford Park section. He is charged with murder.
It was not immediately clear what led cops to Cuellar, who lives near the crime scene.
BROOKLYN
*** A police officer was injured and two teens arrested after a disturbance erupted inside Sheepshead Bay HS yesterday, police said.
The cop, whose name was not released, tried to break up a fight between the teens inside Lincoln High School at 2800 Ocean Parkway when one of the students kicked him in the leg at 10 a.m., police said.
Authorities said the officer sustained a minor injury to his left leg and was taken to Coney Island Hospital for treatment.
The students, whose names and ages were not released, were immediately arrested. One was charged with grand larceny for stealing the other’s cellphone and the teen whose phone was snatched was charged with assault.
