QUEENS

This is a police sketch of the thug who tried to kidnap two women on Thursday afternoon. Cops said the man pulled up beside a 35-year-old woman at 33rd Avenue and Linden Place in Flushing, pulled out a gun and ordered her into his car. She fled and called cops. Less than an hour later, the suspect tried to abduct a teenager at 221st Street and 41st Avenue in Bayside. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male in his late 20s or early 30s with a light beard and mustache. He was wearing a black knit hat and driving a black van with a purple or red stripe on the side. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. THE BRONX

A man was critically wounded in an Olinville stabbing, police said yesterday. The violence erupted at 11:35 p.m. Friday when the victim was stabbed in the arm during a dispute with two men at 323 East Gun Hill Road, cops said. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition. Jason Santos, 20, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

A cop has been suspended for failure to safeguard a prisoner being treated at North Central Bronx Hospital, police said. Officer Anthony Rios of the 50th Precinct allowed Troy Smith, 17, to walk out of the treatment area at 7:40 p.m. Friday. Smith was nabbed seven minutes later in the rear of the hospital.

MANHATTAN

A thief walked into a Midtown bank yesterday, slipped a note demanding money to a teller and then escaped with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The robbery occurred at 9:20 a.m. at Commerce Bank at 685 Third Ave.A man and women were stabbed yesterday in the East Village during a 1 a.m. altercation at 206 Avenue A, police said. The male victim was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in critical condition. The female victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in good condition. Police arrested suspects Luis Negron, 43, Brian Rivera, 29, and Eric Ocasio, 31, who were charged with second-degree assault.

STATEN ISLAND

Cops have intensified their search for the hit-and-run driver who killed a retired Oakwood transit officer outside his home last week, police said yesterday. Matthew McCormack, 63, was mowed down Jan. 10 on Falcon Avenue, near the intersection of Penn Avenue. The driver is described as a white male in his mid-20s, wearing a light-colored bubble jacket. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.

BROOKLYN

A hit and run driver struck and killed an elderly man on Fourth Avenue in Bay Ridge last night, police said.

Cops said Frank Voci, 78, of Shore Road was hit just after 8:30 p.m. by a light blue or green mini-van traveling northbound near the 92nd Street intersection.

A 27-year-old convicted robber was arrested yesterday for the rooftop murder of an unidentified homeless woman found smothered and beaten last Wednesday.

Police said Wilfredo Semprit, 27, of 1970 E. 18th St., Brooklyn, also raped and robbed the woman, in her 40s, as she struggled for her life.

Police said he stole a ring after using an article of clothing to smother the woman during a chance encounter on a rooftop landing at 1180 50th St. in Borough Park.

Police arrested one of two hit-and-run drivers who struck and killed a 79-year-old Canarsie man Friday on Remsen Avenue at Glenwood Road.

The license plate of one of the vehicles became dislodged on impact and fell to the street. Yesterday, police recovered that car and several hours later charged Ivan Smith, 43, of Cumberland Street with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.
