* An 82-year-old man threatened his neighbor with a machete and a hammer in a parking dispute in East New York, authorities said yesterday.
The incident began at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, when the neighbor, 33, knocked on the front door of Aubrey Coley’s Jerome Street residence, police sources said.
When Coley answered the door, the man asked him to move his car, which was blocking the driveway they share.
Coley refused and slammed the door shut. The victim knocked on the door again, and, when Coley opened it, he was brandishing a machete, authorities said.
The victim called police and returned to Coley’s residence. This time, Coley allegedly came outside with a hammer.
Police arrested Coley on charges of menacing and weapons possession. No one was injured.
* A young man has been arrested for knifing an acquaintance in a Flatbush apartment, authorities said yesterday.
Police sources said Patrick Pemberton, 22, confronted the 29-year-old man in Pemberton’s home on East 23rd Street near Cortelyou Road at about 4 p.m. Sunday.
After demanding to know why the man was there, Pemberton allegedly pulled a folding knife and slashed him on the face.
Pemberton then stabbed the man in the stomach and fled, the sources said.
* A Brownsville man was arrested yesterday for shoving his girlfriend and threatening her with a knife after he accused her of having an affair, authorities said yesterday.
Police sources said Gerald Evans, 45, grabbed his 44-year-old live-in girlfriend by her clothing in their Rockaway Avenue home at 6:40 a.m. and started pushing her. The woman broke free, ran into her bedroom and locked the door.
Sources said Evans broke down the door and barged into the bedroom with a knife in hand. He allegedly threatened to kill the woman, who got away and called police.
Cops arrived and arrested Evans on charges of attempted assault, menacing and criminal mischief. The victim was not hurt.
STATEN ISLAND
* A man was busted on a DWI charge after police saw him driving erratically and pulled him over in Port Richmond, authorities said yesterday.
Alberto Garcia, 31, was driving south on Park Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday when cops stopped him at the corner of Richmond Terrace, police sources said.
They noticed that Garcia was slurring his words and had bloodshot eyes, authorities said. They also saw a half-filled cup of piña colada and a beer on the passenger seat.
Garcia was promptly arrested and charged with DWI.
* A woman was arrested for stealing undergarments and other merchandise at the JCPenney store in the Staten Island Mall, authorities said yesterday.
A security guard saw Giula Muriale, 23, swiping a bra, panties and a costume jewelry ring in the store at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, police sources said.
The guard contacted police, who responded and placed Muriale under arrest. She was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
QUEENS
* A 61-year-old man was found dead early yesterday after he apparently killed himself in a Kew Gardens building, authorities said.
The man, whose name was withheld, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head in the building on Grenfell Street at about 1:30 a.m.
Police said they recovered a shotgun. It was not immediately clear if a suicide note was left.
