* A man was fatally shot in the neck yesterday during a dispute in Tremont.
Police said Ezekiel Brown, 23, was attacked on Webster Avenue and E. 187th at 6:52 p.m. Numerous 911 callers told police that the gunmen men fled the area running east on 187th after at least six shots were fired. Police, who are looking for three men, said they were investigating whether the shooting was drug related.
BROOKLYN
* A salesman was arrested for attacking a co-worker and destroying his cellphone in a Marine Park store, authorities said yesterday.
Police sources said Rajin Narain, 29, began arguing with a 35-year- old co-worker in the store at Flatbush Avenue near Avenue T at about 3 p.m. on Feb. 21 after he accused the man of stealing a customer.
Narain allegedly kicked the victim in the back, snatched his cellphone and fled.
A short time later, Narain returned and gave the cellphone back to the victim, the sources said. But he was brandishing a metal pipe and allegedly bashed the victim.
Later on, Narain again allegedly swiped the victim’s phone, and this time broke it in half, sources said. He was arrested Tuesday on charges of assault, menacing and criminal mischief.
The victim suffered bruises, but declined medical attention.
* A man has been arrested for tying up a teenager at gunpoint and making off with two pairs of diamond earrings from the victim’s Bushwick home, authorities said yesterday.
The incident began at 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 15, when Isidro Zamudio-Martinez, 31, and a gun-toting accomplice got in to the Linden Street residence, where they encountered the 16-year-old victim, sources said.
The suspects used duct tape to hogtie the teen on the floor, swiped the diamond earrings from a dresser and fled, authorities said.
The victim knocked a telephone to the floor and dialed 911 using his tongue.
Police untied the victim, who later ID’d Zamudio-Martinez in a photo array. He was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery, burglary, menacing and unlawful imprisonment.
STATEN ISLAND
* A woman was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly beating her 9-year-old daughter with a belt in her Stapleton home, authorities said yesterday.
Police sources said Kishia Smith, 33, brandished the belt when she confronted her 9-year-old daughter in her residence on Targee Street near Broad Street at about noon Sunday.
* A man has been arrested and charged for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a Chelsea building, authorities said yesterday.
The first incident began at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 20, when Charles Sears, 36, allegedly raped the girl at the South Avenue building. Sears allegedly repeated the act four more times through Jan. 26.
* A man was arrested for threatening a female acquaintance with what appeared to be a pistol in her Bay Terrace home last month, authorities said yesterday.
Police sources said John Denora, 36, pulled what may have been a gun and threatened to kill the woman in her North Railroad Avenue residence about 10 p.m. on Feb. 14, court records show. Denora was arrested Monday and charged with menacing.
QUEENS
* A 14-month-old girl died after she was found unconscious in her family’s Rockaway home, police said yesterday.
The baby, whose name was withheld, was not breathing when her mother discovered her in her crib in the Beach 95th Street residence about 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.
The tot was rushed to Peninsula General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said there were no visible signs of trauma on the body, and were awaiting the results of an autopsy.
