MANHATTAN

*** An unruly patron being ejected from a Harlem social club pulled out a gun and opened fire yesterday, wounding the bouncer and two other people, cops said.

The gunfire erupted just before 7 a.m. at the Black Door social club at 416 Lenox Ave. near 130th Street, cops said.

The patron was being tossed out of the club for being unruly when he started firing, cops said.

The bouncer, 37, was shot once in the torso, as was a 24-year-old man. A 41-year-old woman was shot in the forearm. All were in stable condition at Harlem Hospital.

Residents said the club has been a problem for the community for years.

“They should have shut this place years ago. There’s nothing but trouble here,” said resident Clarence Bennett.

Neighbor Larry Lawrence agreed.

“There’s always trouble there – shooting and whatnot,” he said.

*** A man was arrested yesterday in a shooting outside a Morningside Heights bar, police sources said.

Michael Castro, 20, got into an argument with the 30-year-old victim outside the Eden Cafe Bar, at 2728 Broadway near West 104th Street, at about 3:50 a.m., sources said.

Castro slugged the man, who began to struggle with him, sources said.

Castro then allegedly drew a gun and shoot the man in the right arm before fleeing.

The victim was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was released after treatment.

A short time later, police arrested Castro near his Amsterdam Avenue apartment and charged him with assault, weapons possession and reckless endangerment.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the violence.

BROOKLYN

*** A 50-year-old, hardworking hard-hat was shot in the head and killed during an apparent robbery, cops said yesterday.

Randy Bowles was found dead in his sixth-floor apartment at the Cypress Hills Houses in East New York about 5 p.m. Saturday, cops said.

The apartment had been ransacked.

Detectives believe Bowles had just returned home because his coat was still on when his body was found, police sources said.

Neighbors said Bowles was a construction worker who lived alone.

“He was a hard worker. He was always working,” said neighbor Shawn Stewart.

“He was a very nice guy. He was doing good for himself. People in the building don’t know what to think. There’s somebody on the loose,” Stewart said.

*** A 24-year-old woman was arrested yesterday for stabbing another woman in a Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment building, police sources said.

Police did not know what sparked the 2:26 a.m. attack, but sources said Janet Torres stabbed her 22-year-old victim in the left hand in a hallway of the building at 390 Nostrand Ave.

The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where police said she was likely to survive.

Police were called and busted Torres on charges of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

STATEN ISLAND

*** A man died early yesterday after he was shot by an assailant in a Fox Hills apartment building, cops said.

Dennis Canty, 44, was hit in the head in the lobby at the building at 160 Park Hill Ave. about 11:10 p.m. Saturday, when an unidentified suspect pulled a gun and opened fire, police said.

Canty was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North, where he died about 2 a.m. yesterday. “He [Canty] would go around telling people that he would take care of someone if you needed it. I guess he needed the money. He was a bad dude,” said a woman who lived at Canty’s building.
