The NYPD mustered on Randall’s Island Wednesday to deploy a massive police presence in anticipation of post-election unrest in the Big Apple.

Dozens of police vans and SUVs used the island as a staging area before the fleet fanned out across the five boroughs — as tensions remained high amid a hotly contested presidential race that remains up in the air.

On Tuesday, more than 1,000 cops were deployed from the island in anticipation of potential Election Night protests — which never materialized.

The department is taking nothing for granted and will monitor potential hot spots for protests, including the Brooklyn Bridge.

Cities throughout the nation were taking similar steps, including Boston, where Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker has activated 1,000 members of the National Guard in case of any rioting, WBZ-TV in Boston reported.

Tuesday night protests in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., led to dozens of arrests throughout the nation.

Protect the Results, a national coalition of more than 165 grassroots groups, said that as many as 100 marches and protests were planned for Wednesday, while the group ShutDownDC planned another demonstration in the nation’s capital after a protest near the White House Tuesday, according to a report by USA Today.
