Authorities say police discovered the body of a man while responding to a sidewalk trash fire in Brooklyn.

The body was found on Hendrickson Street around 3:50 a.m. Thursday.

Police and firefighters arrived at the location after receiving a call of a garbage fire there.

After the fire was put out, police say the body of an unidentified man was found in the garbage.

The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.
