NYPD nets fishy crook
Cops netted a bungling Brooklyn burglar who swiped a 10-gallon fish tank, among a slew of bizarre items, from several Brooklyn day-care centers and schools, authorities said.
During a two-week spree, Michael Burnett, 44, of Williamsburg allegedly made off with books, a cash register without any money in it, condiments, baseball caps and a microwave, according to police reports.
Detectives studied video footage of Burnett’s half-assed heists and spotted him Friday walking in front of a bodega on Nostrand Avenue near Midwood Street, the sources said.
