The NYPD is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who fatally shot a Bronx mother last week, officials said Tuesday.
Cindy Diaz, 48, was killed by a stray bullet as she was walking past a group of men fighting in front of a Bodega on Boston Road near East Tremont Avenue in Friday.
The gunman was aiming for an 18-year-old rival, who was grazed by a bullet, police said. Diaz was struck in the chest and arm and later died St. Barnabas Hospital.
The NYPD is directly offering $7,500 of the reward while the remaining $2,500 will be given out by Crime Stoppers.
