An NYPD officer shot and killed a boxcutter-wielding maniac in front of his parents after he charged at her early Sunday, cops said.
The 29-year-old man’s parents called the cops to their apartment at 11-70 Nameoke Street in Far Rockaway, Queens at 12:25 a.m., police said Sunday morning.
Together, they entered the apartment, but couldn’t find the son, according to Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera.

The man’s father got into a fight with his son, who was ordered to drop his weapon multiple times by officers and refused to do so.
One officer Tasered the man, who then charged at them with his boxcutter, as his father hid behind the two officers.
The second officer then shot him when he refused to drop the blade.
He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he died.
Cops released a picture of the weapon, which has tape around the handle, at their early morning press briefing.
The names of the officers involved were not released.
The parents and their adult son had lived in the apartment for a couple of years, according to a neighbor, Kean Bravo, 72.

“The police and the young man were banging into the door over and over again like wrestling in front of the door,” he said.
Suddenly, Bravo heard a gunshot, before the man’s father yelled, “You killed my son right in front of me,” he said.

The suspect’s parents called police to the scene.
The young man was laying right here his head facing away his feet facing toward my door. He was on the ground right there in front of his door in the hallway,” Bravo said, describing the scene he saw through his door’s peephole.
Bravo described the unidentified 29-year-old as “quiet,” but said he hadn’t had any trouble from him.
“He sits out in front and smokes cigarettes. He says to me you want a cigarette but I don’t smoke anymore. He’s a quiet man. No one here have any problems with him,” he said.
