A 29-year-old man was found shot dead in his Bronx apartment Wednesday, with cops now investigating it as the first possible homicide of the new year.
The victim, identified as Rahkeem Jennings, was found by his girlfriend at 10:30 a.m. at the Bronx River Houses on East 174th Street with gunshot wounds to his neck and head, police said.
His girlfriend was questioned at the 43rd Precinct, but no charges have been filed. No weapon was found in the apartment, but sources said a shell casing was recovered, police said.
Neighbors and relatives said Jennings was an aspiring rapper.
