The NYPD released surveillance video of a man wanted in Friday’s random attack on a 19-year-old woman in a Lower East side subway station.

The woman was placed in a chokehold and slashed numerous times on her back and neck as she walked down the stairs at the Delancey Street/Essex Street station shortly before 5 a.m. She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The assailant is described as a man between 30 and 35 with a medium complexion, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds with a medium build. He has short curly black hair, a full black beard and was wearing a white shirt, black jeans, black sneakers and black and white bandana on his head.

Videos show the suspect in a smoke shop at 101 Ludlow St. and casually walking down the street smoking a cigarette.
