A man was fatally shot in Brooklyn on Saturday night, police said.

Police received a 911 call for a man shot near Hendrix Street and New Lots Avenue in East New York around 9:30 p.m., according to police.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, cops said.

EMS transported the man to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

His identity is being withheld pending family notification, police said.

The shooter remains at large. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
