Two teenage boys went missing while swimming off Rockaway Beach on Tuesday, police said.

A third boy, 15, with them was rescued by a nearby surfer at the shore near Beach 96th Street and Shore Front Parkway in Queens around 3:30 p.m., authorities said.

He was taken to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and is expected to survive.

Police planned to conduct periodic shoreline searches in the early hours of Wednesday for the other boys, 15 and 16.

At dawn, authorities will resume scuba harbor searches.
