The NYPD is beefing up patrols at gay-pride events this weekend following a spate of recent bias attacks, including a cold-blooded murder in Greenwich Village.

There will be “roughly double the plainclothes [officers] to intercept or deter any kind of bias attacks that we saw earlier this year,” NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said yesterday.
