An NYPD sergeant has been indicted for allegedly attacking two people in police custody in separate caught-on-camera incidents, according to sources.

The sergeant, who was not immediately identified, is expected to appear in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday afternoon on charges of assault and attempted assault, sources said.

In one of the cases, the officer either allegedly hit or tried to hit a handcuffed person during an arrest, according to sources.

In the other, he allegedly tried to attack a person in a holding cell, sources said.

Both assaults, which occurred about a month apart, were captured on police body camera, according to the sources.

The sergeant was allegedly set off in one of the attacks after the arrestee spat on another cop, sources said.
