More than 100 frustrated NYPD sergeants who were supposed to be promoted to lieutenant in March are asking a judge to green-light their $15,000 raises pending a lawsuit by just seven of their colleagues who failed the tests and are suing over the results.

“The argument that if you’re an NYPD sergeant and you’re taking a promotion exam and you haven’t read the current directive . . . is an extraordinary argument,” the group’s lawyer, John Siegal, said in Manhattan Supreme Court Wednesday.
