The 104th Precinct in Queens began neighborhood policing Monday, and Midtown North will start using the strategy Tuesday, officials announced.

They are the last two precincts to employ the proactive tactic designed to let officers get to know the people in the community and their crime-related problems.

Crime is down 8.3 percent and shootings have dropped nearly 35 percent since the policy began in May 2015, NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill said.
