New York City officials say a police sergeant who was interviewed in the case of an accused multi-million dollar madam has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Sgt. Richard Wall was ordered to give internal-affairs investigators his work log for the past five years after someone reported he had been to the Upper East Side apartment building where prosecutors say trysts arranged by madam Anna Gristina happened.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said Wednesday that Wall worked in the area and went to the building during the normal course of business. Kelly says there’s no indication of wrongdoing. Wall’s lawyer previously said his client had nothing to do with the case.

Gristina has pleaded not guilty to promoting prostitution. Her lawyers say she was working on building an online dating service.
