Christmas came early for families at a Manhattan homeless shelter, thanks to the NYPD.

Officers from the 26th precinct, located in Morningside Heights on 126th Street, spent part of Friday distributing nearly 100 gifts to families at a nearby shelter.

Cops from the precinct’s specialty unites, including the anti-crime, auto larceny and grand larceny divisions, have been spreading the Christmas cheer to families in need for the last six years.

Officer Steven Diaz played the part of Santa and distributed the gifts, all worth about $20 each, to 78 families at the Old Broadway Shelter.
