The NYPD will start it’s week long crackdown on dangerous driving on Memorial Day, cops said Sunday.
The enforcement initiative, which begins on Monday and runs through Sunday, June 1st, will focus on violations such as driving while using a cellphone, speeding, running red lights and failing to yield to pedestrians, cops said.
The enforcement, part of Mayor de Blasio’s “Vision Zero” plan, will be conducted in 21 selected precincts throughout the five boroughs.
It will target driving behavior that is hazardous to pedestrians and cyclists, cops said.
