The NYPD will review the overtime payments disbursed to officers placed on modified duty after it was revealed that the Staten Island cop who killed Eric Garner raked in more than $40,000 in two years.

Incoming police commissioner James O’Neill, who assumes his new role on Friday, said that the department realized there was a problem with overtime pay and is seeking to correct it.

“We’ve identified a policy deficiency,” O’Neill told Politico.

“So we have to go back and take a look at what our policies are going to be for modified officers.”

Daniel Pantaleo, who placed Eric Garner in a fatal chokehold in July 2014, earned $23,200 in overtime payments in the 12 months ending June 30, Politico revealed Monday.
