Don’t mess with Jess.

The honeymoon is over between NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch and Mayor Zohran Mamdani — with the pair publicly disagreeing about the vicious snowball attack on the Big Apple’s Finest this week.

Tisch came out swinging Friday, vowing she “will not tolerate any attacks on my cops — period.”

But Mamdani — bolstered by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s decision Thursday to toss the top charge of cop-assault against a suspect —  continued to dismiss the troubling incident as nothing more than a “snowball fight that got out of hand.’’

Several officers were hurt in the melee, including two sent to the hospital, with one suffering a possible contusion behind his eye and the other a headache when he was hit in the head, a law-enforcement source told The Post.

“When you wear this uniform and uphold those standards, you deserve to be treated with respect,’’ Tisch told a group of officers at a promotion ceremony Friday.

“The vast majority of New Yorkers know that.

“Don’t allow the loudest voices in the room to erode the pride you have in wearing the uniform and protecting this city,’’ the city’s top cop said.

“One thing that you can count on with me is this: I will hold this department to the highest standards.

“When those standards are met, I will always be fiercely protective of you, and as you’ve seen recently, I certainly will not tolerate any attacks on my cops, period.”

A furious Tisch previously told The Post after the incident, “Don’t mess with my cops.”

The officers had been called to the scene of the flake fight on Monday — which involved hundreds of people as part of a social-media-organized event in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park — based on a report of teens dangerously tossing ice off a nearby rooftop.

Arriving cops and their vehicles were slammed with ice-packed snowballs from the mob and even chased down the street.

Tisch at the time called the attack “criminal” — but the socialist mayor dismissed the  incident as just a childish snowball fight among “kids.’’

Hizzoner even joked about the violence at one point.

“The only person in our city’s workforce who deserves to be treated with a snowball is me,’’ he said.

One of the “kids” was then arrested Thursday — and turned out to be a 27-year-old man who had already been busted earlier this month for alleged attempted robbery in the subway.

The suspect, Gusmane Coulibaly of the Bronx, was charged with assault on an officer, obstruction of governmental administration and disorderly conduct — only to have Bragg’s office refuse to pursue the cop-assault rap.

Coulibaly ended up just being charged with harassment and obstruction of governmental administration as a second-degree violation and misdemeanor, respectively.

The prosecutor said at the suspect’s arraignment that the evidence did not support the assault charge because investigators could not prove he threw the snowballs that hurt the most seriously injured officer.

Mamdani and Bragg were derided on Friday as the “Axis of Anarchy’’ in the city.

“Zohran Mamdani and Alvin Bragg are New York City’s Axis of Anarchy,” said a state GOP party rep.

“They just sent a message to the mob loud and clear: attack cops, and the radical Democratic establishment will have your back.”

Mamdani, pressed again about the wicked winter incident Friday, told reporters, “What I’ve said in regards to the snowball fight is that it’s a snowball fight that got out of hand, and I don’t really have much more to say.’’

Asked about the tossing of the cop-assault rap against Coulibaly, Hizzoner responded, “I will say first and foremost, that I believe that our police officers should be treated with respect.

“For … everything that they do, I’m deeply appreciative.”

Cops are still hunting other attackers.
