NYU sweetens growth plan
With the prospect of community opposition to NYU’s massive expansion plan for its Greenwich Village campus, university officials announced yesterday that they would pay for a new public elementary school as part of the project.
The 600-seat school would be built regardless of how much of the expansion plan is approved by city officials. NYU plans next month to unveil the proposal that would add 3 million square feet of space for college programs.
