ALBANY — Upstate Democrats have an overwhelmingly positive view of President Obama, a new poll showed yesterday.

The Siena College survey in the 23rd Congressional District covering the state’s northern reaches found 77 percent of Obama’s fellow Democrats with a “favorable” view of the president, compared to just 17 percent who were negative.
