PHILADELPHIA — The New York man accused of streaking at a rally featuring President Barack Obama for a cash prize is set to go on trial next month in Philadelphia.

Twenty-four-year-old Juan Rodriguez, of Staten Island, N.Y., was charged with indecent exposure and other charges in October after he allegedly ran naked through a rally at which the president spoke.

Rodriguez appeared before a Philadelphia judge to face trial Wednesday but it was postponed to January 28.

KYW-AM reports that Rodriguez’s attorney wanted the case reviewed for a program designed for nonviolent, first-time offenders but prosecutors rejected the proposal.

An Internet billionaire says Rodriguez was trying to collect a million-dollar prize he offered to the first person to successfully streak close to Obama.
