An off-duty NYPD officer was charged with driving drunk after he was spotted passed out behind the wheel of a car in Queens, police said.
The officer was identified as Jacob Peterson, 29, who is assigned to the 102nd Precinct in Richmond Hill, the NYPD said.
Peterson got himself into hot water during a traffic stop on 72nd Road and Grand Central Parkway in Douglaston, about two miles from his stationhouse, shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, the NYPD said.
“He was found behind the wheel passed out drunk” with the motor running, a police source said.
Peterson was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by alcohol and refusal to take a breath test, authorities said.
