An off-duty police officer squeezed off a round at her husband after he tried to knife her in their Queens home Thursday, police and sources said.

Officer Johanna Eskerete, 43, and her 31-year-old husband, Anthony Eskerete, had a fight in their Lindenwood home around noon, the sources said.

“He grabbed a knife and tried to stab her,” a police source said. “She grabbed a gun and fired one shot at him but missed.”

Eskerete works in the 83 Precinct in Bushwick, the sources said. She made $108,303 in 2019, according to online government payroll records.

The husband was taken into custody at 84th Street and Liberty Avenue.
