An off-duty FDNY EMT died when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed in Queens, police said Monday.
Eric Maleh, 25, was riding his 2000 Harley Davidson north on Utopia Parkway near 80th Drive around 10:20 p.m. Sunday when he struck the curb as the road curved left, cops said.
Maleh, who was wearing a helmet, lost control of the bike and careened across the sidewalk, coming to a stop at a private home at 80-15 Utopia Parkway, police said.
The Queens resident, who lived about five miles from the scene, was rushed to Queens Hospital Center in critical condition, police sources said. He was pronounced dead shortly after 11 p.m.
Police said no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
