Three firefighters – including one who previously posed shirtless in an FDNY beefcake calendar – were arrested after beating up a man during a boozy bar fight at a Citi Field pub Friday night, authorities said.
The brawl broke out inside McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon on 126th Street near 37th Avenue in Flushing at around 8:30 p.m. – hours after the New York Mets crushed the Phillies 7-2 at their home opener.
McFadden’s Citi Field at 126th St.Astrid Stawiarz Off-duty firefighters Michael Profeta, 34, John Martin, 33, and Anthony Cardazone, 33, were cuffed after repeatedly slugging a 31-year-old man inside the pub, police said.
The brawl began when Cardazone, who was photographed for the 2010 FDNY annual charity calendar, got into an argument with the victim, police said.
Martin and Profeta then grabbed the victim from behind. The three firefighters punched the man multiple times, causing a laceration to his lip and swelling and bruising to his face, cops said.
The bloodied victim found a police officer posted outside the pub, and pointed out the men who beat him up.
The officer took Profeta and Martin into custody without incident — but Cardazone put up a fight, cops said.
“His behavior was tumultuous. He was combative and resisted arrest,” a police source said.
Profeta and Martin were arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct and were given desk appearance tickets, while Cardazone was charged with resisting arrest, assault and disorderly conduct and was taken to Central Booking, cops said.
The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens for treatment.
