An off-duty MTA bus driver was hurt in a Bronx shooting early Thursday, according to police and MTA officials. 

The 31-year-old victim was on Boston Road near Provost Avenue in Eastchester around 2:20 a.m. when he said he heard shots and felt pain, according to authorities. 

The victim, identified by the MTA as a bus operator, went to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition. 

The suspect took off in a silver Volkswagen — but was later taken into custody when cops searched the area and found a vehicle that fit the description, police said. 

Charges were still pending later in the morning, cops said.
