An off-duty New York City firefighter was arrested and charged with assaulting and sexually abusing his girlfriend, police said Saturday.
James P. Kennedy, 36, was busted Friday at a home in Bayside, Queens, police said.
“She didn’t want to get intimate and he did and that’s how it started,” an NYPD spokeswoman said on Saturday.
Kennedy, who has worked for the FDNY since at least 2015 and earned over $116,000 last year, was charged with sex abuse, unlawful imprisonment, assault and harassment, the NYPD said.
