Two NYPD detectives saved a man from a stabbing during a visit to LA Monday, authorities said.

The cops spotted the attack outside a Hollywood Boulevard shopping mall and quickly intervened, LA cops said.

The attacker stabbed the man several times in his face and neck until the New York cops subdued the knife-wielding attacker.

The officers alerted the LAPD and detained the slasher until local police arrived to take him in, cops said.

The victim, a tourist, was taken to a hospital. He underwent surgery and was expected to survive.

The suspect has yet to be charged.
