An off-duty NYPD detective died Monday afternoon after suffering an apparent stroke, police and sources told The Post.
The cop, who sources said worked in the department’s Latent Print Section, died at his home in the Woodrow section of Staten Island around 3 p.m., according to police.
The detective’s name was not released.
A spokesman for the NYPD said the city Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
