A monster who tortured her teen son, keeping him tied up in a bedroom closet for 4½ years in Oklahoma, once served time in The Bronx for the starvation death of her 2-year-old daughter, police said.
LaRhonda McCall pleaded guilty 13 years ago to manslaughter and was sentenced to six months in jail and five years’ probation, the Bronx DA’s Office said.
McCall’s daughter, Ciara, was only 14 pounds when she was taken to Lincoln Hospital. She died a few days later. At the time, relatives said McCall was afraid doctors would tell her the baby was going to die or wasn’t normal.
In the Oklahoma horror, Sgt. Gary Knight said McCall’s 14-year-old son bore scars of torture and was malnourished. She’s facing 40 counts of child abuse and neglect.
