A deteriorated chimney caused a New Year’s Eve fire at famed novelist Martin Amis’ $4.6 million Brooklyn brownstone, according to the FDNY.

Sixty firefighters and EMS workers responded to the Dec. 31 blaze at the Cobble Hill home Amis shares with his writer wife, Isabel Fonseca, and their two daughters.

No one was injured in the accidental fire, which started when heat from the chimney caused the roof’s wooden support beams to ignite, the FDNY said.

Amis’ daughter, Fernanda, posted video on her Instagram account showing flames leaping from the roof.

Amis and Fonseca bought the 1901 brownstone in 2010 for $2.5 million.

The British-born author of “Money” and “London Fields” has said he prefers Brooklyn over noisier Manhattan.
