Olivia Munn is back on the NYC crime-fighting beat —this time going after a man she said attacked her friend’s mom in a possible anti-Asian bias incident.
The petite, elderly Asian woman was walking near Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing on Tuesday afternoon when she was assaulted, the actress said on Twitter, in hopes of tracking down the culprit.
“She left the hospital with 10 stitches in her head,” she wrote with a picture of the suspect. “We’re gonna find this guy. Queens, Internet, please… do your s–t.”
The detective squad at the 109th Precinct was investigating the incident, a police spokesperson said.
This wasn’t the first time Munn helped with a police collar.
In 2019, the X-Men: Apocalypse actress helped cops catch up to a dog walker who stole a Manhattan couple’s pooch.
The attack on Munn’s friend’s mom came on the same day two other Asian women were attacked in separate incidents in New York.
It was unclear if the suspects hurled anti-Asian statements during the assaults — but the NYPD has reported a steep increase in such attacks since the coronavirus made it stateside.

That trend has proved to be a nationwide issue.
Munn posted a lengthy message online last week to “Stop the Asian Hate.”
“The racist, verbal, and physical assaults have left my community fearful to step outside,” she wrote. “These hate crimes have spiked since Covid and continue to increase even though we ask for help, even though we ask our fellow Americans to be outraged for us, even though we ask for more mainstream media coverage.”
