MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — Olympic gold-medalist Carl Lewis says he’ll run again — for New Jersey’s state Senate.
Lewis, 49, yesterday announced his bid to represent his hometown of Willingboro in Burlington County.
“When I run — as you see from my record — I run to win,” said Lewis, who won nine Olympic golds in track and field, including four in 1984.
Lewis, a Democrat, said he hopes to encourage communities to get together and improve educational opportunities.
