An elderly man was killed and two other victims were injured in a fire at an Upper East Side high-rise on Friday night, according to the FDNY.

The blaze erupted on the 25th floor of Adams Tower, a 32-story residential building on East 84th Street near 1st Avenue, at about 9 p.m., fire officials said.

Nearly 80 firefighters responded to the fire, which was under control less than an hour later, officials said.

A 76-year-old man was found inside apartment 25-B; he had suffered severe burns and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The surviving victims were taken to a nearby hospital.

The fire was confined to the elderly man’s apartment, police said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation by Fire Marshals early Saturday.
