One person died when a fire swept through a Brooklyn apartment this afternoon, authorities said.
The blaze broke out in a fourth-floor apartment on Woodruff Avenue near Ocean Avenue in Ditmas Park at 2:35 p.m., officials said.
When firefighters arrived, they found victim Martin Johnson already dead inside, sources said.
The fire was placed under control in 15 minutes and contained to the fourth-floor of the four-story building. The victim was not immediately identified.
