One hail of a livery fix
Livery cabbies who pick up even one illegal street hail would have their cars seized and might lose their licenses under new outerborough-taxi rules.
The rules change, to be voted on today by the Taxi and Limousine Commission, is tougher than the city’s current policy.
“Now that there’s a legal alternate for [street hail] service in the boroughs, we are not going to tolerate illegal taxis,” said TLC Chairman David Yassky.
