A raging fire in a Brooklyn home killed one person and injured another, according to the FDNY.

The blaze began just before 2 p.m., in the basement of a two-story home on 96th Street between Lenox Road and Willmohr Street in East Flatbush, an FDNY spokesman said.

A 64-year-old male was pronounced dead on the scene, while a second, unidentified person was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is not currently known.
