One person was stabbed and four people slashed during a brawl over a woman that erupted at a Midtown bar just after midnight Saturday.
The violence unfolded at 12:10 a.m. on the second floor of the Philadelphia Eagles-friendly Turtle Bay bar, on Second Avenue and East 52nd Street, police said.
The incident happened on the second floor of the three-floor establishment when a 20-something man tried to “dance up” on a woman inside the tavern — angering her 27-year-old boyfriend, who confronted him, police said.
As the dispute intensified, the suspect took out a knife and stabbed the boyfriend in the torso, cops said. Four others, believed to be the victim’s friends, were slashed in the shoulder, hands, arm and face.
The five were taken to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and all were expected to recover.
Police were looking for two male suspects who fled the scene. No weapon was recovered.
Turtle Bay last year topped the list of “Douchiest Bars in NYC,” compiled by the pop-culture site Betches.
