The city’s attempt to harvest kidneys from people who’ve suffered fatal heart attacks in their homes has not yielded a single organ, largely due to too few New Yorkers signing donor forms, The Post has learned.

Of the seven instances where medical workers gained access to the home, they were unable to save the kidneys because the victim had not signed a consent.

“We created a very restrictive structure that wasn’t going to infringe on anyone’s rights,” said Dr. Lewis Goldfrank, the director of emergency services at Bellevue Hospital and the leader of the six-month pilot project.
