Former porn star Candice Vadala — who spent years searching for the mother who abandoned her when she was only 18 months old — died Monday of ovarian cancer, friends said.

Vadala, whose professional name was Candida Royalle, was raised in New York by her dad and stepmom.

She eventually located her mother with the help of a private detective, but by that time, the woman had died of the same disease.

“Nothing replaces a mother’s love,” Vadala, 64, told The Post last August. “There is nothing worse than thinking your mother didn’t want you.”

Her friend Annie Sprinkle, an artist and former porn star, said her pal had been working on a documentary about her search and much of the footage has been shot. It’s not clear if it will be completed.

Vadala, who also was a filmmaker and actress, had been active in support groups for female porn workers.
