Eight people were injured when a massive five-alarm blaze tore through a Bronx apartment building on Friday night, authorities said.

The fire ignited on the sixth floor of the six-story building on the Grand Concourse near Rockwood Street in Mt. Eden at about 8 p.m., fire officials said.

The flames spread through the building’s cockloft and into two wings of the tower, authorities said.

As the blaze spread, hundreds of FDNY firefighters responded to battle the flames, shutting down a section of the Grand Concourse in front of the building. A total of 215 firefighters helped extinguish the fire, authorities said.

One civilian and seven firefighters were injured in the blaze, authorities said.

The civilian and one smoke-eater were seriously injured, while the rest of the injuries were considered minor, fire officials said.

The fire was under control before midnight, authorities said.
